Patricia Jost Golden, RN, BSN, PHN, HP(ASCP), Clinical Director
Ms. Golden is a board-certified Hemapheresis Practitioner (HP) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Pat served on the certification committee for the HP board exam for 12 years and on the ASCP Board of Registry for several years. Ms. Golden was an active member of the American Society for Apheresis for over thirty years serving as its president in 2004. She was also active in the American Association of Blood Banks and the European Society for Haemopheresis. Ms. Golden has participated in several clinical studies and has presented clinical data at national and international medical conferences. She became the National Director of Therapeutic Apheresis with Fresenius Medical Care of North America after managing one of the largest therapeutic apheresis programs in the country. Ms. Golden also has several years’ experience in critical care nursing and academia.
Hal Lieberman, President, and CEO
Hal was the former CEO of HemaCare Corporation, the first for-profit, publicly-traded blood banking, and blood services provider to receive FDA licensure and accreditation by the American Association of Blood Banks. Subsequently, Mr. Lieberman was a consultant and interim chief operating officer for a number of medical technology companies in the U.S and China. Mr. Lieberman received his Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a member of the Innovation Catalyst Program Screening Committee of Southern California Biomedical Council.
Richard Sweet, MD, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Sweet is a Clinical Professor of Medicine-Renal Attending at the University of California, San Francisco, and was previously Medical Director for Fresenius HemoCare. He has over 35 years of experience in therapeutic blood services and has owned and operated hemodialysis centers. Dr. Sweet also directed an Intensive Care Unit at a major medical center. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine and is a member of the American Society of Apheresis.
David Fractor, CPA, Financial Advisor
Mr. Fractor has served as Chief Financial Officer for a number of health care companies, both privately and publicly held, including ImmunoCellular Therapeutics, ImaginAB, and HemaCare Corporation. His responsibilities included all accounting and financial analysis activities, including SEC reporting. Mr. Fractor previously was an audit manager at Deloitte and received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California. He is a certified public accountant and a member of AICPA and the California Society of CPAs.
Richard Nadeau, PhD, FACB, Director
Dr, Nadeau is the former President of Ortho Diagnostics (J&J), Technicon Instruments, and Cytometrics, Inc. He has held senior management positions at DuPont and EMDS, Inc. (E. Merck). Dr. Nadeau has been active in medical technology industry organizations, including the National Committee for Laboratory Standards (now CLIA) and AdvaMed, the trade association for the medical device industry. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemists and a named inventor in forty-four patents worldwide.
Stephen Wyle, Director
Mr. Wyle has held senior management and board memberships at leading biomedical companies, including Wyle Laboratories, Prolacta Bioscience, Q Step Technologies, CyberMDx, and American BioScience. He has successfully raised capital, recruited key management, obtained FDA approvals, and led corporate restructuring activities.
